Great yarmouth escape room visit

Introduction On 7/11/2023 I went to the Great Yarmouth Escape Rooms with my level 4 games development class and on this trip we go to experience what an escape room feels like gathering knowledge on how each puzzle is set up to create a realistic and interesting feel. This trip was very useful to us as apart of one of our next assignments is to create our own escape rooms working in teams. My experience My experience with the escape room was great as the people I was paired with made each puzzle really fun to complete together, being able to joke around yet also be scared. What I mean by scared was the escape room my group completed was a horror escape room where you have to figure out how the family disappeared miraculously etc. It was very intriguing how they used the lighting, sound effects and jump scares to get you immersed into the experience making you feel like it was all real. This immersion allowed for a better player experience meaning people are more likely to want to do it...

Overlook into the games industry and what I'm doing currently to get in.

  My 3 chosen career paths within the games industry and what I need to do and am doing to get into these roles ( https://www.gameindustrycareerguide.com/video-game-careers/#designer ) Video Game Programmer: To get into this role you will need to either get a degree in computer science or something along the lines of computer science or you need to have worked hard self-learning to build a good portfolio to get an entry level job. You will need to basics of coding in either one or two of the following programming languages, C++, C#, Python, Java, but more likely C++ and C# are the main ones. Video Game QA Tester: To get into this role you don’t need a degree or anything you just need to know the basics of testing games, how to write an issue report and depending on what type of tester you are you might need to know how to programme to an advanced level.
